For me it's all about watching people go from vulnerable to capable!  That's what I enjoy the most about teaching dance- giving people access to a whole new world,

My Story not so unusual; my inspiration to dance.  I was at the Festival of the Mandolins in San Francisco where a mandolin orchestra was playing a classic tango and a couple from the orchestra was dancing.  I told my companion at the time that I thought it was his dance.  We began to learn to dance tango and much to my surprise, I learned that it was actually MY dance.  A few years later, I learned salsa, swing, rhumba, waltz and more.  It has opened up a whole new world to me.

I have So much respect for a man's willingness to press through the initial stages of learning...

...especially dancing barefoot with a woman who is heels!

     Sweet Success...

...learning another way to walk...

"There is a Vitality, a life force a quickening that is translated through you into action.  And because there is only one you in all time, this expression is unique.  And if you block it, it will never exist through an other medium... the world will not have it.  It is not your business to determine how good it is, nor how valuable, nor how it compares with other expressions. It is your business to keep it yours clearly and directly, to keep the channel open.  You do not even have to believe in yourself or your work.  You have to keep open and aware directly to the urges that motivate You.  Keep the channel open."
